We are a primary care veterinary practice offering preventative care, general medicine and surgery, nutritional counseling and a new boarding facility. We partner with several specialty hospitals in the Detroit metro area as well.
Preventative medicine:
Puppy and kitten vaccine series tailored to your pet’s age and needs, other immunizations, wellness exams and diagnostic screening.
Internal and general medicine:
Diagnostic blood tests and x-rays, heartworm prevention and treatment, urinary tract disease treatment, internal and external parasite treatment and prevention, therapeutic diets and pharmacy
Anesthesia and Pain Management:
Inhalant and injectable anesthesia, patient monitoring, and comprehensive pain management.
Surgery:
General soft tissue surgery, mass removal, laceration repair, routine spay and neuter, declawing
Dentistry:
Ultrasonic dental scaling, polishing, fluoride application and tooth extractions, (usually done under anesthesia)
Laboratory Testing:
Blood Chemistries, blood counts, urinalyses, ear cytologies (to check ear infections), parasite screening and canine heartworm testing. We also send samples to local labs for specialized testing.
Complete Pharmacy:
We carry most of the pharmaceuticals your pet needs in our pharmacy. We have a complete line of non prescription veterinary products like shampoos, flea treatments, and nutritional items such as joint supplements and vitamins. We also write prescriptions to local pharmacies and have the use of an excellent compounding pharmacy for making unusual or hard to find veterinary drugs.
Radiology:
Orthopedic, abdominal and thoracic x-rays, OFA certification x-rays, gastrointestinal (barium series) and urinary tract dye studies
Dermatology:
Skin scrapings, fungal and ear cultures, topical and drug therapy
Microchip Identification and Implantation:
We provide and implant Homeagain microchips. The Homeagain Company has a national database and several lost pet services for which you can register and pay through our hospital.
Nutritional Counseling:
We will help you decide which commercial or prescription diet is right for your pet. We carry a full line of prescription foods by Purina, Royal Canin, Iams, and Hills.
Boarding:
Our boarding area was recently remodeled in the Fall of 2008. We offer facilities for both dogs and cats. Our cat condos can be interconnected so a single cat may have a larger area for an extra charge, or two cats from the same household can continue to live together
Euthanasia Services:
We know it is hard to make this decision for an old or very ill friend. Our policy is to give you as much medical information as we can, to help you make this choice. We provide humane euthanasia when it is needed, and we offer group or private cremation service.
Zoonotic Disease Prevention:
Zoonotic diseases are diseases that humans can catch from animals. Those for which pets are a concern are usually parasites (fleas, ticks, intestinal worms and protozoa). There are some others such as leptospirosis and lyme disease which we can discuss. We recommend yearly fecal testing for all pets.
